We will start our trip with the Cathedral in Cusco, continuing with the Temple of Qoricancha, Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. We will then return to Cusco between 18:45.

This excursion will last for 4 hours.

Day 2: Tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes

After a good breakfast at your hotel, we will pass by between around 8:00 or 8:45am, depending upon the location of your hotel.

We will start this trip by departing Cusco at 9:00am. Our first stop will be Pisaq, located 32 kilometers from the town, where you will be able to get to see and make purchases at the colorfully traditional market, which is located in the main square. You also can get to see the typical handicraft work comprised of ceramics, leather goods and the elaborate fabrics made by the artisans themselves. We will then visit the archaeological site of Pisaq. Continuing along the journey, we will pass by the towns of Coya, Lamay, Calca, Yucay, and Urubamba, while we get a glimpse of the beautiful flora and fauna along the trip, which will last for about 45 minutes until we arrive in the town of Urubamba. We will have lunch in one of the relaxing traditional restaurants. In the evening hours, we will continue the journey to the town of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. After we visit this archaeological site, we will go to the train station so that it can take us to the town of Aguas Calientes where there will be people waiting for our arrival so that we can take you to the hotel. After we arrive at the hotel, we will meet up with our guide so that he or she can give us some suggestions that we’ll need to do the Machu Picchu tour the next day. You will spend the night at the hotel of your choice.

Day 3: Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo / Cusco

After waking up early, we will have a delicious breakfast and then we will go to the bus station together with our guide so that we can go up to this old, remote site, built on top of a peak in the Peruvian Andes, “Machu Picchu”. Following along a zigzagging trail, which will give you a tropical view, we will get to appreciate the different aspects of the jungle, the Urubamba River valley and the mountains that surround the majestic and mysterious Machu Picchu. Arriving in the Inca city, we will take some time of about 30 minutes until we will then proceed to the control office so that we can enter into one of these 7 wonders of the world, “Machu Picchu”.

Then we will have a guided tour for about 2 hours. Within the archaeological site, we will visit the most important places of the farming area and urban area of the site, which are found within the archaeological site. We will visit such places as the main square, the circular tower, the Inti Watana or Wayranas, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries that are found within the urban area.

After the tour, you will have free time to visit the site on your own time. If you have the entry ticket to Huayna Picchu, you can do it at this time. After returning to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch, we will visit the town and will return to Ollantaytambo, according to the time of departure on your train ticket.

Upon arrival at the station in Ollantaytambo, we will be there waiting for you to take you back to Cusco.

Day 4: Tour of the Southern Valley (visiting Tipon, Piquillacta, and Andahuaylillas)

We will be there once again to pick you up from your hotel and take you to the south of Cusco, where we will begin our journey which will be at 9:00am in the morning. Upon the start of your trip, our first stop will be at the archaeological site in Tipon, the most important archaeological site along the tour as well as the most interesting part of the tour. During Inca times, this was a sacred temple, dedicated to the water cult, and was used for agricultural purposes. We will then visit Oropesa, known as the bread capital because of their delicious breads that are made there, known as chuta. We will then visit the Pre-Inca ruins of Piquillaqta, a place that belonged to the Wari civilization. From these ruins, you can get a glimpse of the Huacarpay Lagoon within this beautiful landscape. We will then visit the towns of Piñipampa and Andahuaylillas, with its old colonial church, which will a very important visit.

Day 5: Maras Tour, Moray, Salineras, half-day tour.

We will once again pass by your hotel so that we can transport our travelers to be able to start our trip.

MARAS: The picturesque town of Maras, with multi-colorful surprises of nature, houses the most important salt mines in the region, having been used since Inca and colonial times. This beautiful place, located 46 kilometers from Cusco, in the province of Urubamba, still conserves a good part of its beautiful colonial architecture. You can see extraordinary gates, carved out of rock like lintels with sculptures made in low relief.

SALINERAS: These salt mines have been used since Inca and colonial times. They are built with a large quantity of wells from where the salt comes from.

MORAY: Moray is a formidable archaeological site, formed by admirable systems of terraces, which are enormous terraces that form a gigantic amphitheater. These terraces formed a large agricultural laboratory, in which the ancient Peruvians experimented and made improvements. This place also had an Andean religious importance that inspired great mysticism. It is actually preserved as well as a ritual center to give offerings to the Pachamama.

Day 6: Cusco: Return to your place of origin

Once we are at your hotel at the time of departure for your flight, we will transport you to the Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport.
